The "Cup" Bath

With the broken pipe incident behind us, we were counting down the days until the bathroom would be 100% functioning; after all, this is practically our only full bathroom. I say "practically" because technically we do have another full bathroom in our attic. Yes, our attic. It's a walk-up and is actually very spacious. It's been somewhat finished to the point that even though it's not heated and cooled, it does have a full bathroom. It's just that there's no shower. There's a cool claw foot cast iron tub in there, but no way to take a shower, only a bath. So bath it was for the few weeks we were tiling and couldn't take a shower in the second floor bathroom.

This is the actual CUP

This is the time period in which we like to refer to our "showers" as "cup baths." Keep in mind that this is all happening in October and November when the mornings are cold, especially at 6:30am. And without any heat in the attic it's extra cold. So, to make the bathing process as short and sweet as possible, we would fill up a cup and dump it over our heads to wash and rinse. I must say, those are the shortest "showers" I've taken in my life! Occasionally, we would fill up the tub with water instead of using the cup, but let's be honest, this is not the place where you'd like to sit and relax.
